“Don is the reason why I am so grateful for smaller businesses compared to larger companies. My garage door spring snapped and it was too cold to continue leaving my car in the driveway. I made a call to GDS and Don arrived promptly the next morning. After a quick assessment, he gave me a standard and upgrade price for the spring, as well as a quote for an entire system replacement (which will be needed in the future). What I appreciated most about him is that he didn't try to strong arm me into a more expensive option, although all the choices were reasonable. I reluctantly went the cheapest route, due to some recent surprise expenses, and he went right to work. He arrived at 9:00 a.m. and was gone by 9:30. If I had to give some constructive criticism, it would be the lack of adequate functionality of his location tracking system. I went to the bathroom right quick, thinking I had time because his location displayed him being miles away. However, as I took a seat, he pulled up in the driveway. I had to leave him outside in cold for a minute before answering the door. 😊 As long as I'm in this house, or the area for that matter, this company will be my first call for all garage door services.”

“Don was courteous on our phone conversation, then arrived promptly the next morning. He explained why my garage door was jamming halfway up and jumping off the track. My door needed a support brace across the top, a new heavier duty spring mechanism, and the garage door opener race raised higher on the door. I opted for the higher priced spring which will last three times as long as the alternative. Don and Clayton did an excellent job installing the new hardware, and I chose to update my second garage door to the same level of materials. If you need a replacement or repair for your garage door, opener, etc. trust me when I say, RUN don’t walk to Don at Garage Door Services of the CSRA. He was tremendously helpful, knowledgeable, fast to come out and to complete the job, and the prices, you won’t believe them! (No inflation in their rates!) I had an estimate with another local company for repair or replacement of my parts and motor (nothing was needed for my garage door itself) and they quoted over $1,500 for repair and over $2,500 for a new motor. Don told me exactly what I needed and why- he did a tune up and added a strut, and the total was about 1/5th of the repair estimate for the other company…so, $325 vs. $1,500!!! Don won’t let you waste money on anything you don’t need.
