We first had another garage door company come out and they quoted us a very high price for replacing our springs. I decided to get a second opinion and called Don, and I’m so glad I did. He responded quickly and actually came out within the next hour to give us a free estimate. He took the time to explain the difference between standard cycle springs and high-cycle springs and even showed me the difference so I could understand. We ended up choosing the high-cycle (35,000–50,000 cycle) springs. I really appreciated that he explained everything clearly and didn’t pressure us at all. His pricing was fair, he was honest, and he finished the work quickly. Our garage door is now working perfectly and much smoother than before. Great service all around — I highly recommend Don!

Don is the reason why I am so grateful for smaller businesses compared to larger companies. My garage door spring snapped and it was too cold to continue leaving my car in the driveway. I made a call to GDS and Don arrived promptly the next morning. After a quick assessment, he gave me a standard and upgrade price for the spring, as well as a quote for an entire system replacement (which will be needed in the future). What I appreciated most about him is that he didn't try to strong arm me into a more expensive option, although all the choices were reasonable. I reluctantly went the cheapest route, due to some recent surprise expenses, and he went right to work. He arrived at 9:00 a.m. and was gone by 9:30. If I had to give some constructive criticism, it would be the lack of adequate functionality of his location tracking system. I went to the bathroom right quick, thinking I had time because his location displayed him being miles away. However, as I took a seat, he pulled up in the driveway. I had to leave him outside in cold for a minute before answering the door. 😊 As long as I'm in this house, or the area for that matter, this company will be my first call for all garage door services.
